The police of Saensuk police station have arrested an amphetamine dealer who used a dog to deliver drugs to customers. The defendant confessed that he used his Chihuahua dog to conceal amphetamines in the dog’s clothes and walked to meet his customers who then picked up the dog to play with it whilst removing the drugs. He was finally arrested by police.
CHONBURI – February 11, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; the narcotics suppression officers of Tambon Ban Puek and the community police volunteer lead by Pol.Lt.Col. Pitsak Montalak (Inspector of Saensuk police station, Amphur Mueang, Chonburi province) arrested a Mr. Manas Wongsukorn, aged 51, residing at house no. 105 Moo 2 Tambon Plai Phong Pharng, Amphur Amphawa, Samutsongkhram province after they received a report from a detective that Mr. Manas was using a dog to deliver amphetamines to customers. He was arrested in front of a restaurant in the area of Tambon Angsila, Amphur Mueang, Chonburi province.
Upon inspecting a white Scoopy Honda motorbike, red license plate no. 15754, Sri Racha, which belonged to Mr. Manas (the defendant) the officers didn’t find any amphetamines, so the police asked to search in the orange bag were his Chihuahua dog was and found 200 amphetamines pills hidden in the dog’s clothes.
The police knew that he had been arrested before and was in jail for 9 years charged with a gun offence. After he came out of jail he worked as a security guard until his friend persuaded him to sell amphetamines which they received from an agent in Chachoengsao province. They would receive 600 amphetamine pills each time and sold them in the area of Bang Saen. They would make around 60,000 THB. He then sent to the police station to be prosecuted further according to Thai law.
