In case of non-linear aging, the relaxation characteristic of a
specific dipole group, distributed in different sections of the
insulation can no longer be represented by a same value of
resistance and capacitance. In the modified Debye model the
sub-elements present in any particular branch represent this
difference in relaxation property of a dipole group along the
insulation length. Existing literature shows that higher value of
resistance usually denote better condition of insulation.
