Comparison
with flavonoids indicates lower radical scavenging/antioxidant
capability of studied compounds, although some reaction enthalpies
found for pyridoxine (BDE and PA) and pyridoxamine (IP) in
water are comparable with values obtained for flavonoids in Ref.
[17]. Moreover, low C8AH and C9AH BDEs indicate that ACH2A
fragments may also participate in radical scavenging and antioxidant
action via HAT mechanism.
