5. Conclusion
In this study, the performance of hybrid bioreactors with different
aeration frequencies was compared with an anaerobic bioreactor.
Temporary upper layer aeration accelerated the aerobic
degradation of VFA in leachate and facilitated to develop methane
generation phase after ceasing the aeration. Higher aeration frequency
contributed to shorter acidogenic phase by neutralizing
leachate quickly, but less methane generation as the price, due to
organic loss by aerobic decomposition. C1 with low aeration frequency
