Pink eyes looked up and Momoi gave a small smile at Akashi’s multicolored eyes on her. “Hm? We’re childhood friends. Aomine-kun and I are close.”
"You’re around Daiki a lot," he repeated with a slight frown and cross his arms. "Maybe I should have him run more laps."
In the back of Momoi’s mind, that wasn’t such a bad idea, considering he slacked off on training exercises as much as he could, but she shook her head anyway with a small laugh. “He’ll skip more practices.”

A hand raised to brush strands of her hair behind her ear and she went back to organizing papers, clipping them with binder clips and setting them aside. “It’s all right. Why so concerned about it?”
Akashi stared at her for a moment longer, just long enough for Momoi to figure it out and look up at him in time to see him looking down, suddenly fascinated by his algebra textbook.
