We greatly appreciated your interest in the facilities we have established here to train our engineers In practical applications of energy conservation methods. While it would be difficult for us to turn the seminar rooms and training grounds over to the university on any regular basis, we could certainly make them available to your science department from time to time when they are not booked by our field managers. Generally speaking, this means you would have to set up your university program on very short notice-perhaps only one week ahead of time
I have a suggestion, though, that might be workable a different way. Since the number of engineers attending any particular session seldom utilizes more than 50 or 60% of the seating capacity, we would be happy to have your students sit in, a time. Thus, they might see and hear firsthand what petroleum engineers are actually doing to conserve oil and gas and other forms of energy.
There would be no charge to the university in either case. I suggest that your science or engineering professor stop by my office one day, and we can get into more specific detail about the possibilities.
