Thousands of people are starting to converge on north east Arnhem Land for the annual Garma Festival, the biggest and most important celebration of Yolngu culture.
Minister for Indigenous Affairs, Nigel Scullion said the Australian Government has provided the Yothu Yindi Foundation with $250,000 to support this year’s festival.
The Government has also invested a further $100,000 to support activities at the festival’s youth forum and, through Supply Nation, promote the Government’s Indigenous Procurement Policy.
