About 1600 people have been arrested on the first day of the anti-militancy drive, but at the same a Hindu monastery worker has been killed in militant style.
Hours into the star of a special crackdown on militancy and other crimes across the country ,a volunteer of a Hindu monastery was hacked to death yesterday in an attack bearing the hallmarks of recent targeted killings.
The victim,Nityaranjan Pandey, 60,was a sebak at Sree Sree Thakur Anukulchadra Satsang ashram in Bangladesh's northern district of Pabna,reports our district correspondent
