Validation of the ELISA used for AFB1 and OTA determination
yielded mean recovery values of 86.1% and 90.0% and intermediate
precision values of 84.1% and 88.0%, respectively. Mean coefficients
of variation (CVs) obtained with the determination of recovery and
intermediate precision were 6.9% and 8.5% for AFB1 and 6.1% and
8.9% for OTA. The obtained LOD and LOQ values descriptive of the
HPLC-FLD method used for OTA determination in all types of analysed
meat products were 0.15 mg/kg and 0.20 mg/kg, respectively.
HPLC-FLD validation yielded recovery values ranging from 79.7% in
dry-fermented sausages to 96.4% in the muscle tissue, with CV
lower than 5%.
