(i) There are no mechanical tolerances of AOL in fabrication and
inaccurate 3D imaging.
(ii) The lens pitch of AOL is adjustable via acoustic wave. It’s suitable
for a display panel or the composited image in different
resolutions and number of viewers.
(iii) The AOL is an additional independent optical plat component,
and will not affectthe power of display and 2D imaging quality.
Combing with a panel, the proposed system can easily be a
real-time 2D/3D switchable display.
(iv) The viewer can select suitable viewing distance without the
need of replacing the lenticular lens with different focal
length/lens thickness.
(v) For personal entertainment application, the proposed imaging
system can be adjustable to coordinate with different IPD by
real-time changing the refractive index of AOL.
(vi) A two-dimensional AOL design can pertain the 3D effect while
the panel can be rotated horizontally or vertically
