Straw fibreboards were cut into 50m

Straw fibreboards were cut into 50mm×50mm pieces to
determine the internal bond (IB) properties and density
profiles. Bending strength, modulus of rupture (MOR) and
modulus of elasticity (MOE) were measured on 4 cm×32cm
samples. The mechanical properties (IB, MOR and MOE) were
determined according to EN standard methods (EN 310: 1993;
EN 319: 1993) in an Alvetron Model Tc10 testing instrument
(Lorentzen and Wettre, Sweden). The pressed panels were
stored for oneweek at roomtemperature after pressing. Before
testing, the specimens were conditioned in a room for 48h at
65% relative humidity and a temperature of 20 ◦C.
