An all-female trained panel of 11 panelists who were
experienced in the evaluation of filled and unfilled snack
bars was used to profile the sensory quality of the stored
bars. Panelists attended six training sessions where they
reviewed the product attributes and scoring methodology,
and identified new attributes specific to this trial. Snack bar
training samples were selected to demonstrate the range
of attributes and attribute intensities likely to be found
in the stored bars. Evaluation of these samples during
training sessions was done to allow monitoring of panelist
performance using the PanelCheck Version 1.2.1 (2006)
open source software.
