The Well-LL1 samples range from poorly sorted to moderately
well sorted, while the similarly,Wells LL 2 and LL 3 are moderately
sorted to poorly sorted, indicating fluctuations of depositing currents.
The graphic skewness of the clastic deposits in wells LL 1, LL
2, and LL 3 varies from negatively skewed to nearly symmetrical,
nearly symmetrical to negatively skewed, and very negatively
skewed to positively skewed respectively, indicating that the velocity
of the depositing current corresponds to the average velocity
responsible for deposition of the clastic sediments. The average
graphic kurtosis for the wells ranges from very kurtic to leptokurtic
(0.1e1.74).
Scatter bivariate plots shows basically fluviatile environments
(Friedman, 1961, 1967; Moiola and Weiser, 1968; Tucker, 1988)
(Fig. 7). Based on the mode of transportation, the coarse grains are
deposited by traction and saltation, whereas medium to fine/silt
grains are products of saltation and partly suspension which could
have resulted from energy variations during transportation.
