As can be seen from Table 4, there was a statistically significant relationship at the level of 0.05 between the Internet use behavior and English proficiency, as the relationship between the sum of the Internet use behavior and English proficiency was more than 0.05. According to Table 5, the overall students often used the Internet for searching information for doing other subject homework and reports, for searching information for doing English homework, and for
communicating with friends about studying. The students thus could improve their English proficiency through the Internet use because the Internet information is mostly written in English. Besides, the frequency of using the Internet of the students may have direct effects on their English proficiency and understanding.
