and use the appropriate strategy. Therefore, the strategy for each problem is different. The appropriate
strategy makes the problem solvers think about the meanings of both problem sentence and the mathematical
equation. Problem solving is the work of establishing a correlation between the things given and requested.
Establishing this correlation correctly happens with the help of strategies. According to the researchers,
strategies are containable and conscious activities which carry out cognitive objectives (Pressley, 1995). As
