Please find attached 5 curricula for TICA's consideration
1. MICE for non-MICE executives
As new one I suggest this training activity , seeing the lack of understanding of operational managers and director, not to mention general managers.
I think this might work very well, as it is designed as a 1-day workshop but therefore will be rather generic
2. MICE for beginners
Being involved closely with 8 hotels, I see how little " new-comers " in MICE sales-forces understand of this business and make serious mistakes which shy the buyers away. This is a 2 day course with homework ......
3. MICE, the experienced way
Whereas there are various training efforts on offer, they all seem to be rather notional and lack the practical input of experienced trainers.
This workshop is split in 2 x 1½ day ( Friday / Saturday morning ) to avoid having the participants too long out of the office / field
4. MICE, Writing Winning Proposals
Having just done a mystery shopping survey again it was interesting to see that even hotels attending the last course still failed to reach more than a 60% score on evaluation, using the chart I gave to all participants
It seems that templates are still used ( time-saving ? ) and are mainly operational, forgetting to sell the wonderful destinations Thai hotels are in
This workshop is split in 2 x 1 day ( Friday and the next Friday ) to avoid having the participants too long out of the office / field and allow for improvement homework on their proposals.
5. MICE, Train the Trainer
I suggest TICA continues the bi-annual cycle of this efforts, having seen some of the previous students in action was very effective for Thailand and its MICE stakeholders
As before, this workshop is split in 2 x 1½ day ( Friday / Saturday morning ) to avoid having the participants too long out of the office / field
Khun Ying, I hope these suggestions makes sense and can help you to complete the SDC plan for next year.
And having just won the Sticky Award from the IT&CMA, I know I wisdom triumphs over age in achieving comprehension of the MICE stakeholders, be it the beginners, be it the experienced !
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Winningly yours,
Bert " Bow - Thai " van Walbeek,
