Strategic leadership refers to a manager’s opportunity to enunciate a strategic vision for the company [24], and
to motivate and persuade others to acquire that vision. Strategic leadership in context of IT can also be defined as
taking advantage of business strategy in the management of IT resources to provide worth to the business.
Strategic leaders create IT organizational structure that is aligned to the business, allocate resources that
understand business goals and objectives and express IT strategic vision that is a sub-set of the organizational
strategic vision.
