Based on the present results which advocate the merit of mustard husk as an adsorbent for Alizarin Red S from aqueous solutions, further work is being planned to explore the effects of selected previously reported cost effective and green chemical pretreatment(s) on the adsorption capacity of mustard husk for Alizarin Red S in both batch and column studies. The design of an adsorption column may follow but should be optimized for real dye-laden effluents.
