The answer is the both. Fig.1 and Fig.2 are the images from two sites of chained shop in Japan [1] . Its rice culture is especially famous but today bread is also common in the country. Bread is frequently taken for the breakfast as cereal because it is quick to eat compared to the traditional Japanese-style breakfast [2] . You may see many Japanese people consume some sandwich or Italian Panini at lunch, there are many bakeries in the town, there is always a corner dedicated to bread in the supermarket and it is served in the Occidental-style restaurants, too. In this article, therefore, I would like to reveal this bread enthusiasm in Japan, which is still hardly known outside of the country.
