3.5. Correlation between available P and soil properties, inorganic P fractions
There was significant correlation (P≤0.05) between available P and all measured soil properties, except ALP. This correlation differed between treatments and growing seasons. SWC and available P had a significant (P≤0.05) positive correlation in the B treatment in both growing seasons, but not in the M treatment. MBC had a significant
(P≤0.001 in 2009, P≤0.05 in 2010) negative correlation with available P in the M treatment, but no significant (P > 0.05)correlation in the B treatment. A significant positive (P≤0.05)correlation between APA and available P was observed in the M
treatment in 2010. TEM had a significant (P≤0.01) negative correlation with available P in both treatments in 2010, but not in 2009. There was no significant difference between soil pH and available P in the B treatment in either growing season. In the M treatment, soil pH had a significant negative correlation (P ≤ 0.01) with available P in 2009, but no significant difference in 2010 (Table 6). Soil organic C and available P had a significant (P≤0.05) positive correlation in the M treatment in 2010 (Table 6).
