P-deficiency can improve the biosynthesis of SLs
(Umehara et al, 2008; Kohlen et al, 2011). In order to
study the relationship between OsMAX1 expression
and P-deficiency, we analyzed the expression levels of
OsMAX1a and OsMAX1e treated with P-deficiency
using RT-qPCR. Our results showed that P-deficiency
can significantly improve the expression of these
candidate genes (Fig. 7) to improve the synthesis of
SLs in rice. Therefore, OsMAX1a and OsMAX1e are
involved in the biochemical pathway of SL synthesis.
