Dissolved saccharides that were observed in the RWs include glucose, cellobiose and xylose. The total amounts of these saccharides were 0.17, 0.13 and 0.03 mg/mL, respectively, with a pretreatment of PAA + [Hpy][Cl], PAA + [Emim][DEP] and PPA + [Emim][OAc], respectively. The glucose and cellobiose fractions were most common saccharides whereas the xylose content made up the lowest fraction (Fig. 3b). The total dissolved cellobiose and glucose in the RW reached 6% from the SWBC cellulose content.
