improves dry matter, especially the economic parts of the
plant (i.e. flowers and fruits). However, N availability to
plants depends on the source, soil type, and environmental
conditions, which may affect crop performance. Therefore,
a crop’s N supply should be synchronized to its demand. N
losses are observed in every type of soil and management
of such losses should always be a top priority when
considering the study of N supply to crops
