Gene and Alleles
The genes that pair up may be identical. For instance, you may inherit genes that produces black hair from both of your parents since both of black hair from both of your them have black hair. But imagine what would be the outcome you inherited one gene for curly hair from your mother and the other gene for straight hair from your father. They are still the same genes that control the straightness of your hair but are obviously in different forms A gene can actually exist in two forms and for some genes there may be two or more alternative forms. These alternative forms of the same gene are known as alleles. These alleles of the same gene occupy tigular pair of your hair but are obviously in different forms.
