The temperature of the children was
assessed using axillary thermometers. As a
result, we obtained a median value of 36.0°C,
with a standard deviation of 0.5°C and 35.0°C
and 38.4°C as the minimum and maximum values,
respectively. The KS test shows that this
variable was not normally distributed. The
minimum and maximum axillary temperature
standard limits adopted were between 35.5°C
and 37.7°C. Therefore, more than 75% of the
sample was considered normothermic(6).
