Many extracts from medicine plant have been known to possess
antimicrobial effects and used for the purpose of food preservation
and medicinal purposes (Cowan, 1999; Lee et al., 2007;
Tassou et al., 2000; Valero and Salmeroj, 2003). In this study, the
extracts obtained by different solvents displays effective antimicrobial
effects against food spoilage and food-borne pathogens and
broad antimicrobial spectrum.
