Results
The implementation of the SOS and improvement work
at our organization consisted of 2 5S initiatives, 3 RPIWs,
initiation of our ADM system, and the development
of 2 programs addressing operational efficiencies. This
work was performed with approximately 20 clinical
staff, at a cost of approximately 350 hours (G0.2 fulltime
equivalents). An important goal was to ensure
efficiency and feasibility in any new performance improvement
initiative that was developed, without expanding
the size of the ED or increasing resources.
Project results are outlined below as they relate to
each aspect of the SOS.
