MULTIFUNCTION CONTROL DISPLAY UNIT (MCDU)
Two Multifunction Control Display Units (MCDU) are installed in the central
console, one for the pilot and one for the copilot.
The MCDUs provide pilot and copilot with full control of:
• all PRIMUS EPIC® radios installed on the AW139 helicopter
• the Flight Management System (FMS – see ch. 34 00)
The MCDU is provided with a display that permits control (data entry, setting,
selection), monitoring and data display of the same systems.
CURSOR CONTROL DEVICE (CCD)
Two Cursor Control Devices (CCD) are installed in the central console, one
for the pilot and one for the copilot.
The CCDs are used in conjunction with the Display Units (see ch. 31 00) and
can be used to modify the active and preset:
• frequencies of the VHF COMM and VHF NAV radios
• code for Mode A of the ATC Transponder (XPDR)
