The World Cup match-winner suggested this week he is not enjoying his football with Bayern Munich under coach Pep Guardiola and a move away from the Bundesliga giants could be in the pipeline.
Gotze, 23, who has spent two seasons at Bayern following his move from Borussia Dortmund in 2013, would not be available on the cheap although there are a host of clubs tracking his signature.
And now his agent, Volker Struth, has added fuel to the fire by admitting his man could leave the Allianz Arena, with only two years left on his contract.
"Mario has made it clear that his last two seasons have not been idyllic," Gotze's representative told Tuttosport.
"However, it's also true that no club has come forward with an offer. Bayern have not ruled out a possible transfer, just as we won't rule out any possible opportunity, to stay or go abroad."
He added: "There's still a long way to go until the end of the transfer window, so anything can still happen."
