Dear colleagues,
I would like to inform you all of some important changes to the operations leadership team.
Khun Erika Vida, Supply Chain Director for store ordering will complete her expat assignment on the 2nd September 2014. With her wealth of retail business knowledge and Supply Chain experiences, Khun Erika has played a significant role in leading and executing supply chain planning strategy and development which has made a huge impact to team and business performance as a whole. This is such an important role and the handover period is crucial, we will therefore appoint the successor to Khun Erika early to ensure a smooth transition.
Successor to Erika will be Khun Golf, Piyapong Thanyasrisung, currently Format Director – Talad, will be appointed to the role of Supply Chain Director for store ordering reporting to Khun Andy Perry. During Khun Golf’s handover period, Khun Erika will also lead a piece of work on developing a better working capital plan for 2014/15.
Khun Tim Knapp, Format Director – Extra, will be appointed to the role of Format Director - Talad, replacing Khun Golf and reporting to Khun Chris Whitfield. The replacement of Format Director for Extra will be announced in due course. During this period Khun Tim will retain responsibility for Extra until the external appointment is made.
We will also make some important changes to the way our E2E programmes are led. Khun Tim Edwards, Supply Chain Development Director, will officially retire at the end of September after 41 years’ service with Tesco. Over the coming months we will split the end to end projects, with Khun Tim focusing on group ordering. Khun Monchai Intarapornudom, Operations Director - Hypermarkets North, who will be appointed to the Program Director for Right stock, Right place, Right time (previously known as none out the back). Group Ordering and right stock, right place, right time are two very crucial programs this year to ensure we improve availability and better manage our stock levels. Khun Tim and Khun Monchai will report to Khun Andy Perry.
Khun Bob, Boonchai Cheeparanai, currently Operations Director – Hypermarkets South, will look after all hypermarket stores and continue to report into Khun Chris Whitfield. Further to this, Khun Wichai Luewanichkul, Senior Operations Manager Talad South, Khun Suebsakul Attachai, Area Manager - Hypermarket South 2 and Khun Athithep Thongchan, Area Manager - Hypermarket North 2, will be appointed to Operations Manager for Hypermarket Bangkok, Operations Manager for Hypermarket South and Operations Manager for Hypermarket North respectively, and they will report directly to Khun Boonchai Cheeparanai.
The Operational elements of our full & fresh programme will be led by Khun Vorathat Siriphand with the supplier development side of Full & Fresh being owned by the Fresh Commercial team. Khun Vorathat will ensure we manage our waste projects and operational projects with optimum efficiency, all of which are important to both product quality and our 2014/15 Operations plan. Khun Vorathat will now report directly to Khun Andy Perry.
Please join me in congratulating Khun Golf, Khun Erika, Khun Monchai, Khun Vorathat, Khun Bob, Khun Wichai, Khun Suebsakul and Khun Athithep for their career progression and wishing them every success in their new and challenging roles.
All of the moves described will be effective 16 May 2014.
Best regards,
