Countermovement jump
Maximum countermovement jump height (cm) was measured using a Vertec1 (Swift Performance
Equipment, Lismore, Australia) measuring device. Vertical standing reach height was determined before testing with care being taken to ensure that the upper limb was fully extended. Three minutes rest separated each trial and participants were instructed to
jump for maximum height. The highest jump was recorded as the maximal height attained during
three trials and countermovement jump height was calculated by subtracting the standing reach height from the jump height [coefficient of variation
(CV)¼7.2%].
