summary, a series of interesting coordination polymers have been hydrothermally synthesized by the asymmetric semi-rigid H3L and N-heterocyclic ligand with transition metal ions from low-dimensional to high-dimensional networks. Importantly, structural investigation demonstrates that with the same reaction condition and H3L ligand, structures of complexes present prominent changes by different metal ions. The nature of metal ions may lead to the diversities of resultant complexes. However, all the variable factors cannot be accurately forecasted at this stage. The further research works are underway based on H3L and other N-heterocyclic ligands.
