The area cover (or wide angle) that sensor can observe each time is called “IFOV”
(instantaneous field of view) which indicates the obtained spatial resolution of the resulted
image from that sensor also.
A “pixel” becomes the smallest area that each sensor can detect
individually and its size defines the so-called “spatial resolution” or
“ground resolution” of that resulted image.
Each pixel has a reflectance intensity value (represented by a
digital number: DN)
