In summary, the results of the Buckingham-p analysis can also
be re-grouped to derive Le and xo. These two dimensionless numbers
actually involve all the basic dimensionless p groups with
the exception of only one p group, Rb/Rp. In our model, there is also
an accelerator efficiency ga to account for the actual pool speed
Vt = XRpga. The feed acceleration efficiency does not bear out from
the Buckingham-p analysis given it is already dimensionless. However,
the accelerator efficiency ga can be incorporated into the
denominator of Eq. (22) to come up with identical form as Eq.
(9). The above result is applicable to both decanter and tubular
centrifuges [4,8].
