The first time I got the Turnigy 9XR I was very excited. I had been waiting for it for quite some time and I couldn't wait to get my hands on. The first thing I did was testing the sticks. The first feeling I got was "they are too loose and too easy to move". I didn't like that as I was used to harder moving sticks. I thought that wouldn't be a problem, all i had to do is opening the radio and tightening the springs with a screwdriver but I was wrong. Turnigy 9XR doesn't have screws to tighten the tension springs and that is a bit disappointing. So if you don't like the way the sticks move, you have to take the radio apart and replace the springs with new ones. This was definitely difficult to do. I wouldn't recommend if you are not good at working with small things. There is also another option which I would prefer and suggest to you: you can purchase new sticks for the Turnigy 9XR from here ( Mode 1: Left and Right, Mode 2: Left and Right) they are to be honest very cheap, so you can change the springs on them and then you can change the whole sticks on the radio which is very easy to do. This way you would have spare parts just in case. No matter which method you will use, you will need new stronger tension springs. I took them from an old radio I didn't use anymore and they were perfect for the Turnigy 9XR. So look around if you can find an old radio you don't need anymore with good tension springs or you can purchase them online.
Note: I don't take any responsibility for any damage you may cause to any of your equipment. Do anything at your own risk. All the mods shown here I have done on my radio and other equipment and I do confirm that everything works great as it should. So if you do everything as described here, everything should work for you too ;) I have collected all this information from internet and some of them I have done myself, so I would like to thank all the contributors and authors of this great community for keeping this hobby in great stand.
