We’re kind of sad that we only have one month to slurp down some chestnutty goodness, and we’re even more concerned that the supply will stop just as soon as the temperature finally starts to drop. In our minds, chestnuts are an autumnal flavour, and while we’re already formulating plans to slurp down a hot Roast Nutty Chestnut latte in an air-conditioned cafe while pretending it’s the best season of the year, we’re worried the whole experience will feel a little artificial. Why can’t we have chestnutty treats all the way till next spring?
While we’re excited for the new drinks, we can’t help but think that Starbucks is jumping the gun a little bit. Perhaps October would be a better time for such a warming and comforting drink? We’re desperate for summer to be over too, but we’re not sure that we’re quite ready to start sipping on fall-themed drinks while it’s still so hot outside.
