The most abundant saturated fatty acid in the pulp oil was palmitic acid (25.04%), followed
by stearic, arachidic, and finallyby myristic acid. In the seed oil, the major saturated acid was lignoceric, followed by behenic acid, palmitic, stearic, and finally by arachidic. Saturated fatty acids accounted for, respectively, 28.99and 26.47% of the fatty acids in pulp and seed oils (Table 5).
