Hypothesis Testing
In this study, a two-step procedure was followed. PCA
was followed by analysis of variance (ANOVA) and
simple regression. ANOVA is a statistical procedure
that uses the F-ratio to test for significant mean differences between multiple groups (Saunders, Lewis, &
Thornhill, 2007; Sekaran & Bougie, 2010), while regression is ‘‘a way of predicting some kind of outcome
from one or more predictor variables’’ (Field, 2005,
p. 143).
