In this experimental investigation, the production, characterization and optimization of critical process parameters influencing
the transesterification process of a new biodiesel derived from
M. zapota seed oil have been studied and reported.
Methanol with KOH as catalyst was used for the transesterification process. Molar ratio of methanol to oil, concentration of
catalyst, time of reaction and temperature of reaction were the
four influencing parameters considered for the optimization of
biodiesel production using Taguchi method
