By comparing statistically both curves, no significant differences were
observed between the intercepts and the slopes. This comparison ensures that there are neither significant losses of analyte
due to the cleanup and preconcentration process nor matrix
effects on detector sensitivity, being possible the direct use
of the external calibration curve for quantification purposes
in water, and therefore no corrections need to be applied to
the NMCs measurements for the analysis of water samples
(bottled, ground and river water). Statistics parameters and
performance characteristics of the method for the analysis of
NMC in water samples are shown in Table 2.
