various types of accurate rheological measurements. Indeed, to control
the formation of, and take measures to remove, the biofouling layers,
apart from determining the hydrodynamic stresses, it is important to
characterize the biofoulants' response to these stresses that tend to
vary widely both in magnitude and frequency
