Management and Reporting of Exceptional Compliance Issues
All Nestlé plants, markets and businesses must have a process in place for the management of exceptional compliance issues at site, market or business level. Market or business heads must ensure that their existing processes are reviewed in line with the requirements in this standard.
Upon identification of an exceptional compliance issue, unit management must evaluate the issue and establish an initial corrective action plan, which includes timeframes and responsibilities, and the details must be recorded in SHE-PM within 5 working days following the identification of the issue.
Exceptional compliance issues details, including actions required and due dates for resolution, must be changed and kept up-to-date in SHE-PM, for instance when more information becomes available, circumstances change or either more or less time is required to address the issue.
Once an exceptional compliance issue has been satisfactorily addressed and the unit has returned to compliance, the related exceptional compliance issue record entered in SHE-PM must be deleted from the system, to indicate that the issue has been resolved.
