Hello Anna!
I'm exploring Cambodia. This is a country in South-East Asia. It is between Thailand and Vietnam, and it's a great place. There are 15 million people here, and they are very friendly.
The currency is the Riel but many people use US dollars. The language they speak is called Khmer which looks very beautiful in writing. Most people speak English or French too.
The capital is Phnom Penh. It's an interesting city, big and busy with a lot of nice old buildings. But today, I am in Siem Reap in the north of the country. This is a fantastic place. There is a famous monument here called Angkor Wat and it's more than 800 years old. It is the most popular place in Cambodia for tourists.
Cambodia is a hot country. The average temperature here in Siem Reap is about 30oC. It's a real tropical country, and there is a lot of jungle. I see monkeys and elephants every day here! The food is great, too. Cambodians eat a lot of fruit, and fish from the sea or the lakes. The fish curry is delicious.
It's sad, but I am only here for one more day. See you tomorrow, with news from Bangkok!
