The data of patients in both groups’ subjects for skin conditions are listed in Table 2. There were no differences in skin hydra- tion, sebum, elasticity, melanin and redness between groups A and B during the study period (P>0.05). The skin elasticity, melanin and redness of both groups remained unchanged during the study period (P > 0.05). Notably, skin hydration increased in weeks 4 and 8 in group A and the increase was more significant in week 8 (P = 0.002). Also skin sebum decreased significantly (P = 0.013) in the same time (Wk 8) in group B. There were no serious adverse experiences that were related to the treatment. Dryness and itch- ing were the most frequent symptoms reported in group A (2.7%) and B (15%).
