Results Table 1 shows selected characteristic of participants. The mean age, parity, abortion, gravity and pregnancy interval of subjects who developed gestational hypertension were higher than healthy pregnant women (p value<0.05). Also, higher prepregnancy Body Mass Index (BMI) was found in women who developed gestational hypertension in comparison with healthy pregnant women (p value<0.001), Women who developed gestational hypertension were more likely to have family history of hypertension and previous record of gestational hypertension (p value <0.001).
