General Comments
InterREACT is a simple-to-use, yet comprehensive, Risk Management programme
specifically designed for Accor Asia Pacific by InterRISK Australia Pty Ltd, Insurance
Brokers and Risk Management Advisors. The intention of InterREACT is to provide all Accor
locations with information that will help them meet and manage their statutory and legislative
requirements.
The primary objective of the InterREACT programme is to protect Accor and its employees
by ensuring that all Accor locations are identifying and managing their operational risks, both
effectively and efficiently, by implementing a predetermined and standardised set of
procedure, augmented by specific State/Territory requirements where required.
Each InterREACT topics contains a series of questions to which the location manager or
delegated resource should ultimately be able to answer "YES" and to assist in completion of
the programme each questions comes with Guidance notes that explain the requirements for
compliance and direct the user to a pro-forma document or procedure (where appropriate).
An important feature of the InterREACT programme is that, for questions requiring remedial
action, it makes provision for recommendations to be created and for management to set a
timeframe for completion and the allocation of specific resources. The automatically
generated actions can then be distributed as an action plan for implementation.
It is a Head Office requirement that all Accor locations participate in the InterREACT
programme and that returns are made to InterRISK each quarter. General Managers are
asked to ensure that these returns are completed and returned to InterRISK on time.
General Managers should also ensure that reference is being made to the Guidance and
Verification Guidance sections of the programme and that the Recommendation section of
the programme is being utilised as this not only provides continuity in the event of staff
changes but also provides an audit trail in the event of litigation or a claim against the hotel.
