Thus, the objectives of this study are to, (1) optimize the pre-
treatment conditions for macroalgae cellulosic residue (MCR) using
solid acid catalyst, Dowex (TM) Dr-G8 base on the highest glu-
cose yield that were obtained through enzymatic hydrolysis of the
pretreated MCR; (2) study the effect of enzyme loading on the
enzymatic hydrolysis of pretreated MCR; (3) study the effect of
pretreated MCR loading on bioethanol production through simul-
taneous saccharification and fermentation (SSF) by Saccharomyces
cerevisiae.
