The rooms are dated but a good size and kept very clean. We were on the 11th floor and surprisingly still had a problem with some traffic noise. Had stayed here before and there now seems to be a slightly different client base. There appear to be a lot of tour groups which can make breakfast very noisy and chaotic at times as people rush to meet their schedules, at these times it is hard to get tea and coffee and often it was cold by the time it came. Breakfast had more than enough choice and catered very well for all cuisines. Rooms now have a fridge freezer in them as well as a microwave which can be good for families but I cannot recall any other five star hotel I have stayed at that has this. The lobby and other public areas are lovely and the location is excellent with great access to public transport. The hotel was very busy when we were there and seemed to cope with the 97% occupancy rate apart from at breakfast.
