Hello everyone, Derek here. I consider you to be my family, so I need to give you all an important update. Several weeks ago, it was decided that Justin Conway would no longer be in Pinn Panelle. I know this is going to shock a lot of people – it was a difficult decision and one of the reasons for the lack of posts on here, but this is the only way that Pinn Panelle will be able to continue moving forward at this point and long-term. Justin is a dear friend and a fantastic drummer, and I sincerely wish him the best of luck with everything he wants to accomplish in life.
It’s a challenge getting news like this out to all of you – I apologize if any updates on the official band lineup have been confusing or unclear. As some of you may know, Jonathan Vinson has been playing bass for Pinn since last year (for those who have no idea what I’m talking about, please read:http://pinnpanelle.com/2013/03/transitions-and-the-release-of-ghosts-liars/). Stay tuned for the announcement of our new drummer’s identity. For now, here’s a picture of his kit.
I want to be very clear, I could never dream of doing anything Pinn Panelle has achieved on my own. My bandmates are the most gifted and hard-working people on the planet, and there’s no way Pinn Panelle can happen without them. It’s a personal honor to play in a band with such good people. I’m not going solo – I’ve invited new talented members into the group; Pinn Panelle is still a band. Lastly and most importantly, I can’t tell you how thankful I am for you fans who’ve stuck around and continue to encourage and offer kind words. You always help me see the beauty in humanity; and you are why I will make music until the day I die, and if social networking weren’t such a mediocre medium of communication and allowed me to give every single one of you guys a hug, I would. Thank you so much, all of you. Here’s to a future with more music. We’re ridiculously excited to show you what we’ve been working on for the past several months. x
Love you guys,
Derek
