The antimicrobial activity of the films was tested in vivo. Analyses were performed on the 1st, 4th and 8th days after packaging. 25-g Samples of the packaged salad were weighed in sterile Stomacher bags, diluted with 25 mL of peptone water and homogenized in Stomacher for 3 min. Ten-fold dilution series were made in the same saline solution for plating.
